History:
Medical
sorcery boomed during the late Middle Ages, but had never been a popular
field of study due to high occupational dangers and relatively small payoffs.
In pursuing the art of healing, medical students sacrifice their ability
to learn offensive magic, and thus the ability to protect themselves. The
number of students in this discipline had dropped to
a
new low after the Scandal of Vamelsa. |
| History:
A highly prestigious branch of sorcery favored by assassins, with the main
focus based on shadow and fire magic. When mastered, a warlock or can completely
destroy his enemies while remaining in the safety of the shadows. Although
many sorcerers sought to master Shadowflare, most succeeded in only learning
either the shadow or fire component, thus defeating the purpose. |
| History:
Rune
Blade focuses on the physical manifestation of magic as swords, knives,
arrows, axes, etc. A master in this area can instill exotic properties
into his weapons and control them in ways that can never be accomplished
with real objects. |
| History:
A
rare branch of supportive magic which usually runs in a family. While fairly
vulnerable on their own, competent clairvoyants can use their special senses
to uncover the history and mental states of people, objects, locations,
and even detect ghosts and undo curses. They can also share their skills
with one other person of their choice, allowing them to form highly valuble
partnerships with warlocks and sorcerers alike. |
